プロフィール

　1991年にコロラド州デンバーでの染織クラスの受講以来デンバーと東京にて技術を学ぶ。
　2009年から2010年にかけてアラバマのブックアーティストWayne McNeilから一対一で習った手綴じ製本がきっかけで幼い頃からの色と紙へのこだわりが遂に形になる。
　2014年5月に受講したEco printのワークショップがきっかけで植物を使った染め、圧接加熱により植物の色素を転写するボタニカルプリントの作品作りを始める。さらに翌2015年のvisible mending（見せるお繕い）のオンラインワークショップに啓発され使われなくなったものを再生させるものづくりに力を入れる。
　2016年5月に16年間のアメリカ生活に終止符を打ち日本に帰国。自宅で細々と制作を続ける。

I took up weaving and dyeing in Denver, Colorado in 1991 and continued my studies both in Denver and Tokyo.
From 2009 through 2010 Alabama-based book artist, Wayne McNeil taught me book-binding. My obsession to colors and papers finally took shape in creating books.
Taking Eco print workshop in Houston in May, 2014 made me resume using plant dyes to create botanical print pieces, which are the results of plant pigments transferred onto paper and fabric by pressing and heating.
After having lived in the U.S. for 16 years, I returned home to Japan in May, 2016 and is home-based in Itoshima, Fukuoka.
